Communicate a vision for peace.

Ambassadors for Peace are a global network of leaders representing the religious, racial and ethnic diversity of the human family, as well as all disciplines of human endeavor. They stand on the common ground of shared principles, committed to the path of promoting reconciliation, overcoming barriers, and building peace.

The Ambassadors for Peace Initiative recognizes three levels of Ambassadors:

  • Community-level Ambassadors for Peace

  • National-level Ambassadors for Peace

  • International-level Ambassadors for Peace.

  • As an Ambassador for Peace, you will receive a monthly newsletter of news and testimonials of the successes and challenges faced by other Ambassadors for Peace in their quest to build harmonious communities throughout the world.
  • Women bring a vision of peace
    You will occasionally be invited to participate in local, national and international educational seminars and conferences.
  • Ambassadors for Peace get numerous opportunities to network with other peace makers, and are able to enrich their peace initiatives with ideas and stories of success from other peace Ambassadors.

Qualifications

  • Affirmation of the Universal Peace Federation’s vision and principles of peace.
  • Demonstration of leadership qualities in a given area of activity.
  • Recommendation by a Senior Member of UPF and/or by an Affiliate Organization Member of UPF.

The Universal Peace is a successor to IIFWP, an NGO in Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations. IIFWP was founded in 1999 by Rev. and Mrs. Sun Myung Moon to promote greater cooperation among governments, religions and NGOs in addressing critical global problems.
